80 years of fondation

This Sunday September 8, 2019, we celebrated the 80th anniversary of the birth of our congregation:

the Little Sisters of Jesus.  A small seed was sown in the Sahara desert, grew, and is now scattered throughout the world.

"It’s the work of the Lord, not mine or that of any other person”, said our foundress little sister Magdeleine.

The day before at our General House in Tre Fontane, lsr Paola Francesca gave a conference on the theme: “A tender and delicate love,” according to the life of little sister Magdeleine.

Throughout the day Sunday we held an “open house” with an exposition on the life of little sister Magdeleine and the history of our congregation.

The most important moment was the celebration of the Eucharist at the end of the day. Thirteen priests from different rites and different countries

concelebrated with Cardinal Angelo de Donatis, in thanksgiving for the past, the present, and the future.

In his homily he said: "With little sister Magdeleine let God take you by the hand and follow Him blindly, even if the paths are narrow and winding....

Then, in "the whisper of a gentle breeze" a voice will remind you that His grace is enough...."

    And the celebration continued afterwards….
